Northwest Missouri State University was one of the the first public universities to deliver all of its textbooks electronically.
The university’s president saw it as a way to drastically cut costs, since e-books generally cost half the price of printed textbooks.
Then the university ran a pilot study and university officials learned some sobering lessons about electronic books.
