Requests come in for applications, information

Voluntary early retirement incentive (VERI) applications have been requested by 43 WSU employees as of Monday, April 6, according to Human Resource Services. Of those, 17 have been completed and returned.
 
The university implemented the VERI in February as one part of budget reduction efforts. At that time, it was estimated that about 600 employees are eligible for the incentive.
 
Calculations for retirement supplementation have been requested by 67 employees.
 
The VERI requests are up from 17 as of March 9. VERI applications returned are up from six a month ago.
 
Supplementation calculation requests are up from 35 as of March 9.
 
Of VERI application requests, 28 came from faculty, 13 from administrative professional (AP) staff and two from civil service staff. Of applications returned, 10 are from faculty and seven from AP staff.
 
Of supplementation calculation requests, 47 are from faculty, 19 from AP staff and one from civil service staff.
