April 4 is Natural Leaders Get Outside Day

PULLMAN, Wash.–The  Washington State University Center for Civic Engagement/Roots & Shoots, the Environmental Task Force and the International Center will organize a group of volunteers at Orphan Acres to do a spring clean-up 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 4.

To celebrate the launch of the Children & Nature Network’s Natural Leaders Network, a new campaign that focuses on developing youth leadership in the children and nature movement, volunteers will flex their muscle and demonstrate how to connect all youth with a nature-based outdoor play experience.

The mission of Orphan Acres Equine, Rehabilitation, and Sanctuary, Inc. is to provide care and rehabilitation for abandoned, neglected, abused and malnourished horses, while educating the public regarding the issues surrounding rescue and rehabilitation including all aspects of horse ownership and care.
