And, look for these food-related films at WSU Libraries: “Babette’s Feast;” “Eat Drink Man Woman;” and “Like Water for Chocolate.”
While not part of the university’s events, the recent documentary “The Future of Food” will be shown at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Kenworthy Theatre in Moscow. This documentary is on the topic of GMOs (genetically modified organisms) and the food supply.
Its filmmaker, Deborah Koons Garcia (widow of Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead), will be at the Kenworthy to introduce the 88-minute film and to discuss it afterwards.
Tickets are $4 for Moscow Food Co-op members, $6 for the general public. All tickets go on sale at 6:30 p.m. at the door.
