New WSU Season of Concerts to Open Sept 24

PULLMAN, Wash.— The Washington State University School of Music Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band and Orchestra will welcome a new season of concerts at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, in Bryan Hall Theater.

David Turnbull and Timothy Robblee will conduct the Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony respectively and will be sharing the podium with Ruth Boden in her premiere performance as the conductor of the Symphony Orchestra.

The audience will be treated to wind band classics from John Phillip Sousa, Gustav Holst and Mark Williams of Spokane, after which the orchestra will close this brief program with Mozart’s well known 25th Symphony in G Minor.

This concert is free and open to the public.
