The cancer information center established on the Pullman campus last summer has expanded to two locations, with plans to conduct monthly workshops on cancer topics.
“We now have a larger, more formal venue in the east alcove on the first floor of Owen Science and Engineering Library,” said Paul Verrell, associate professor in the School of Biological Sciences and co-founder of the Cancer Reading Room.
The original reading room, in Eastlick 361, still is open to faculty, students and staff, he said. However, the Owen area has more material and is open to the public.
The library has offered to host monthly meetings, Verrell said. Speakers might include clinicians, current patients, advocates, persons involved in support groups and more.
