TRI-CITIES – Art submissions are due Jan. 5 for the Spring 2009 Chancellor’s Exhibition Series at WSU Tri-Cities. Works from the fall show are on exhibit through Dec. 19 in the East Building administration corridor.
The semi-annual juried exhibition series showcases Columbia Valley artists. The fall show featured 58 paintings, sculptures, prints and photographs by 22 regional artists.
The winning work was “Peaceful Chant,” a digital photo finished with an acrylic gel medium by LuAnn Ostergaard. She donated the piece to the WSU Tri-Cities permanent collection.
Artists accepted for the spring show will be notified by Jan. 9, and the selected works must be at WSU Tri-Cities by Jan. 16 for installation. The opening reception is scheduled for Jan. 22.
