Vancouver re-launches KOUG Radio station

VANCOUVER – The WSU Vancouver student radio station went back on the air March 3. After a series of management turnovers and staffing issues, KOUG Radio has launched a defined program now available for download.
 
“Just this week we returned to broadcasting after completing announcer training and a long series of station planning meetings,” said Programming Director Spring Atkinson.
 
The KOUG is a student-operated radio station on the WSU Vancouver campus, streaming on the Internet 24/7 at, https://www.vancouver.wsu.edu/ss/kougradio/koug.ram
 
KOUG offers 10 different program formats ranging from the yodeling madness of WWII propaganda music to the latest and freshest music to hit the airwaves, each is a reflection of the on-air personality of the host. Diversity in programming is one of the revamps offered by the KOUG staff in order to better serve students and the local community.
