Apply for the Faculty Status Committee

PULLMAN – Faculty nominations are requested for tenured faculty to serve on the Faculty Status Committee are due by March 13.
 
The purpose of the Faculty Status Committee is to serve the faculty, which includes:  Review, mediate, or adjudicate disputes within the faculty and between the faculty and administration; Make recommendations to Faculty Affairs Committee and to the President concerning policies about faculty affairs which arise out of its conciliatory and judicial functions; Call special meetings of the faculty or any component thereof; Review any problem within its jurisdiction brought to it by any member of the faculty; Make periodic reports to the Faculty Senate and to the faculty concerning its operations.
 
The Faculty Status Committee has nine members, each serving for 3 years.  Three members retire annually at the beginning of the last week of instruction prior to final examinations in the spring semester and are not eligible to succeed themselves immediately.
