Finishing touches in Phase I and II of the Martin Stadium Renovation project are nearing compleition this week as a new Stadium Way nameplate is assembled.
With the assistance of two mechanical boom trucks, the arch was hoisted up and lowered into place on Monday during a Palouse downpour. On Tuesday, crews from Tri-State Sign company and Freeburg Sign company, added two decorative arches. Also working on the sign were electricians, as the sign includes 56 flourescent lights.
The stadium will be ready for its grand opening and the Cougars first home football game on Saturday, Sept. 6, against California.
