WSU’s Student Advising and Learning Center (SALC), in conjunction with the WSU Academic Advising Association (ACADA), will host an academic advisor training 8 a.m. 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, in the CUB Junior Ballroom.
The goal of this training is to provide guidance for up to 100 new and seasoned advisors and to deliver a solid, consistent knowledge base for advisors to ensure excellence in academic advising at WSU.
This is an opportunity for all academic advisors to build collegiality across disciplines and develop support networks. Participants in the training will receive a WSU ACADA – Level One certificate for completion of the training.
Advisors located in Pullman may register for this training by contacting Leisa Schmidt at lkschmidt@wsu.edu.
Due to space limitations this is a first-come, first-served event. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. This academic advisor training will also be hosted in the near future on other WSU campuses.
If you have any further questions about this training feel free to contact Sarah Ann Hones, director of SALC, shones@wsu.edu, or Lisa Laughter, academic advisor at SALC, laughterl@wsu.edu.
