WSU Grad Student Seeks Tri-City “Gamers” for Research

RICHLAND, Wash. — Video game players age 18 and older are needed for research being conducted April 2 through April 7 at Washington State University Tri-Cities.

The gamers will be randomly assigned to play a video game for 30 minutes, then answer an anonymous questionnaire.

The fast and fun research will take place upstairs in the Consolidated Information Center, 2770 University Drive, Richland.

Steve Bisch of Pasco is doing the research for his thesis study on the effect of video games. Bisch is a WSU Tri-Cities graduate in social science who now is completing a Master’s of Arts in Communications with the WSU Murrow School of Communications in Pullman.

The video game sessions are from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, then all day Saturday, April 7.

Video game terminals are limited, so contact Bisch to schedule a time. He can be reached at 509-551-3893 or vgvols@att.net.

Volunteers will get pizza and be entered into a drawing for prizes. Amateurs to experts are welcome.
