Rawlins, Floyd to Hold Vancouver News Conference

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Washington State University President V. Lane Rawlins and Incoming President Elson S. Floyd will discuss the current legislative session and the upcoming presidential transition and will answer questions about other issues facing the university during a news conference at 10 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 13) in Room 236 of the Student Services Building on the WSU Vancouver campus.

Floyd, president of the University of Missouri, was selected by the WSU Board of Regents in December to serve as the institution’s 10th president. He will succeed Rawlins, who announced last summer that he would be retiring in June. Floyd will be in the state for several days to meet with various campus and community representatives and will be visiting all four WSU campuses.

Following the news conference, Rawlins and Floyd will attend a public reception from 10:30 to noon in Room 129 of the Student Services Building, located at 14204 NE Salmon Creek Ave.
