Nursing Graduates to be Recognized Thursday in Candlelight Ceremony

RICHLAND, Wash. — Graduates of the Washington State University Tri-Cities Intercollegiate College of Nursing will be recognized at Convocation, a special pinning and candlelight ceremony, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at the Shilo Inn, 50 Comstock St., Richland.
 
Convocation is a thoughtful occasion where faculty, staff, medical professionals and students’ family members celebrate the hard work and special relationships of the Spring 2008 graduating class.
 
The ceremony features student speakers Dianna Carroll, Nichole Sharp, Elaine Heatherington and Tracy Moran-Patton; faculty speakers Chayanin Boonpongmanee and Phyllis Morris; and music provided by soloists Anna Curren and Amber Hauter, and violinist Tara Harlow.
 
Convocation is open to the public. A reception follows the ceremony.
 
Washington State University Tri-Cities is an urban campus along the Columbia River in Richland, Wash. Established in 1989 with upper division and graduate programs, WSU Tri-Cities offers 17 baccalaureate, 14 master’s, and five doctoral degree programs. The campus added freshman and sophomore courses in fall 2007 to become a true four-year public university, extending the WSU land-grant mission of providing affordable, accessible higher education.
