TACOMA, Wash. Bates Technical College President David B. Borofsky received the Washington Small Business Development Center (SBDC) network Silver Star Award yesterday (April 19) at a small ceremony on campus. The college is a long-time supporter of the Washington SBDC, and worked closely with the Small Business Administration, SBDC and other service providers late last year to renegotiate lease space for the SBDC at the Bates campus.
The Washington SBDC Silver Star award was introduced last year during the network’s 25th anniversary. The award is presented to clients and stakeholders who helped promote and expand the reach of valuable Washington SBDC services and the SBDC’s vision to provide expert technical assistance, training and business services to small businesses across the state.
