WSU Tri-Cities Exhibition Center Opens “State Of Art In The Columbia Valley”

TRI-CITIES, Wash. – “The State of Art in the Columbia Valley,” a juried fine art exhibition that reports on the status of art in that part of the world, opens April 10 in the Exhibition Center on the Richland campus of Washington State University.

“This regional juried show is a first for us,” said coordinator Doug Gast. “Twenty-two artists from the Columbia Valley are exhibiting paintings, photographs, sculpture and ceramics.”

In all, 31 artists submitted works to be juried and 22 artists from Walla Walla to Yakima – including established artists, high school and community college students and educators – were chosen to be included in the exhibition.

The Exhibition Center is located in the Consolidated Information Center (Libraries Complex) on the north Richland campus.

The show runs through
April 28.
