PULLMAN, Wash. More than 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students are expected to participate in Washington State University’s 110th spring commencement, Saturday, May 6, at Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum.
Three ceremonies will be held. At 8 a.m. graduates in the liberal arts will receive their degrees. Texas Tech University President Jon Whitmore, a WSU graduate, will be the featured speaker.
At the 11:30 a.m. ceremony, WSU regent Joe King of King, Crowley and Co. public affairs consultants, will address graduates in business and education.
Edmund O. Schweitzer III, founder and president of Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories in Pullman and a WSU graduate, will speak at the 3 p.m. ceremony for agricultural, human, and natural resource sciences; engineering and architecture; pharmacy; nursing; sciences; and veterinary medicine graduates.
WSU President V. Lane Rawlins will preside at all three ceremonies. Commencement is open to the public; no tickets are required.
