Tickets on Sale for April 8 Mom’s Weekend Performance by Comedian Bill Engvall

PULLMAN, Wash. — Tickets are on sale for “Mom’s Weekend with Bill Engvall” at Washington State University. The 8:30 p.m. April 8, 2006, performance by blue collar comedian Engvall will be held at Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum.

Tickets are $35 each and may be purchased at all TicketsWest outlets, by calling (800) 325-SEAT or online at www.beasley.wsu.edu. The show contains adult content.

A native of Galveston, Texas, Engvall was a nightclub disc jockey in Dallas until he began pursuing his ambition to be a comedian. After initial successes before audiences in Texas and Missouri, he moved to Los Angeles in 1990.

Two years after arriving in Los Angeles, he received the best male standup comedian honor from the American Comedy Awards. Later, his debut album “Here’s Your Sign” was released, followed by a tour with comic Jeff Foxworthy.

In mid-2000, Engvall was part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Foxworthy and comics Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy. The tour resulted in the Blue Collar Comedy Tour movie and the Blue Collar TV show, seen Thursday nights on the WB television network.
