Reception to Honor Hecht Family

PULLMAN, Wash. — A reception is set Thursday, April 26 to honor Edith and Julia Hecht for their contributions in support of the botanical sciences and the botanical collections of the Washington State University Libraries.

The public reception is planned from 1-2 p.m. in the maps area on Owen Science and Engineering Library’s third floor.

Edith Hecht is a former WSU librarian and an active American Association of University Women member. The late Adolf Hecht was a botany professor at WSU for more than 30 years. A volume purchased from the Hecht Family Fund was recently designated as the two millionth addition to the WSU Libraries’ collections.
