Weather warning; check out live links

 
 
The National Weather Service has issued a heavy snow warning for the Washington and Idaho Palouse from 4 p.m. today to 10 a.m. Thursday.
The warning indicates the possibility of 5-7 inches of snow could fall in parts of the Palouse and Eastern Washington. (For future reference, a link to that site is located in the right hand column on the WSU Today web site, just click on the color weather map of the United States.)
 
To check out current road conditions and to look at live camera shots of various local state highways, click on the “state highway conditions” link (look for photo of snow plow), also in the right hand column of the WSU Today website.
 
Faculty, staff and students should take all appropriate safety precautions, said Chris Tapfer, WSU’s emergency management coordinator.  The Washington State Department of Transportation has information on their website regarding winter travel safety at   https://www.wsdot.wa.gov/winter/
