WSU students helped test the new plumbing at Martin Stadium yesterday at 5 p.m.

The “Royal Flush Event” was a way to prove that the plumbing system was operating correctly before the first football game, said Keith Bloom, director of both Capital Planning and WSU Construction Services.
The test simulated the quick, high-volume use of the system that is seen at halftime.

The test included flushing toilets and urinals, pouring water down the floor drains and running sink water.

The first 275 people in attendance received Royal Flush t-shirts commemorating the event.
