WSU Board of Regents to meet in Seattle Friday

The Board of Regents of Washington State University will hold its first meeting of the 2007-2008 academic year at 9:30 a.m. Friday
(Sept. 7) in Great Room I of Hotel 1000, 1000 First Avenue in Seattle.

The board will deal with several organizational issues, including changes in board bylaws and changes in scheduled sites for upcoming board meetings.

The board will also discuss a proposed redevelopment of three lots located at the corner of Colorado Street and Ruby Street in Pullman. As part of the university’s ongoing efforts to improve the College Hill area, WSU has acquired the properties and proposes to enter into a land lease with a private developer to build a retail and housing development at the site.

The board will hold its committee meetings Thursday at Hotel 1000.
