WSU economist, horseman to retire

Ken Duft, a WSU Extension economist, will ride off into the sunset in November closing the door on a 40-year career at WSU. The avid horseman got some early morning practice Monday morning when he delivered his retirement papers to Ron Mittelhammer, Regents professor and director of the school of economic sciences.

Duft, who has long trained and ridden horses, rode to campus on a 15-year-old registered American quarter horse named Justin.
