The Outdoor Photography Contest and Exhibit will be on its way during the 2008 Spring Gear Swap at the Student Recreation Center.
The contest which was open to all non-professional photographers will be on display for all to see Saturday, March 29 inside the SRC. One of the sponsors, Campus Involvement, has been working feverishly to get the photos printed for the exhibit.
After receiving 400 submissions the photography contest anticipates displaying only about 35% of them. The rest are intended to be shown in a running slideshow at the SRC. Since the screening process passed about 98% of the initial photos, the judges will have a tough time deciding the winners.
The winning photos will be decided Friday, April 11 prior to Mom’s Weekend. Though not confirmed yet, the winning photos may be published in some form of a calendar.
