Snoqualmie closed due to avalance danger

Snoqualmie Pass, as of 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, is currently closed due to avalanche danger.

The I-90 website states:

Interstate 90 is closed indefinitely due to high avalanche danger and naturally occurring snow slides. The roadway is closed eastbound at milepost 34 near North Bend and westbound at milepost 106 near Ellensburg. Avalanche control work is presently underway. Continued heavy snowfall is forecast on the Pass for the next 24 to 36 hours. Due to the weather related nature of this closure an estimated time of opening is not known. Updated information will be provided as it becomes available. // Snowing hard
