Institute’s course teaches skills in grant writing

The Grant Institute’s “Grants 101: Professional Grant Proposal Writing Workshop” will take place at the University of Washington from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 6-8 at the Husky Union Building room 106B.

The workshop, open to development professionals, researchers, faculty and graduate students, is an intensive and detailed introduction to the process, structure and skill of professional proposal writing. Participants will learn the complete writing proposal process and gain understanding of the essential factors that determine whether or not a program gets funded. The workshop will include lectures from grant writing experts and interactive exercises and activities. Three courses will take place during the three-day workshop: fundamentals of program planning, professional grant writing and grant research.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive certification in professional grant writing from the Institute, a guide to successful grant writing, and the Institute’s Grant Writer’s Workbook, which includes sample proposals, forms and outlines.
