WSU employees will be among those recognized May 1-7 during national 2006 Public Service Recognition Week. Celebration events will be held in Olympia, Vancouver, Spokane, Pullman and Tri-Cities.
*Olympia ceremony, lunch, information booths, speeches, talent competition, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, Heritage Park on Capitol Lake.
*Vancouver ceremony, awards, lunch, speeches, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 4, Department of Transportation/Washington State Patrol Complex.
*Spokane ceremony, cake, display booths, awards, speeches, 3-5 p.m. Thursday, May 4, Airway Heights Corrections Center.
*Pullman state employees will be recognized at the WSU Cougar baseball game, 6 p.m. Saturday, May 6, Bailey-Brayton Field. Employees who print a coupon from the WSU Office of Business Affairs website, www.wsu.edu/~busaffrs, will get $1 admission to the game. Each employee may purchase up to four tickets.
*Tri-Cities celebration barbecue, barbershop quartet, contest, speeches, awards, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, Lampson Pit area of Columbia Park in Kennewick.
