Diversity focus of story by Chronicle of Higher Ed

WSU is the focus of an article in this week’s Chronicle of Higher Education titled, “The Rise of the Chief Diversity Officer.” The story features Michael J. Tate, WSU vice president for Equity and Diversity, and his staff as an example of efforts more universities are making to enhance their commitment to diversity.

“I am very pleased the Chronicle of Higher Education chose to highlight Washington State University’s efforts in equity and diversity,” Tate said. “But while we are making solid progress, we still have a lot of work to do before we reach the goals we have set.”
