Rally protests violence

Students, faculty and community members marched Tuesday evening protesting violence against women in the 23rd Annual Take Back the Night Rally and March.

The rally, which is part of the YWCA’s Week Without Violence, began on Glenn Terrell Mall at 7 p.m. and continued to Beasley Coliseum. Following the march, a candlelight vigil was held outside Beasley to reflect on the effects of violence.

Throughout the week, additional events, such as the Clothesline Project, will take place to promote awareness.
