Robert Bates, WSU provost and executive vice president, begins medical leave today, Monday, Feb. 12, in order to have laparoscopic surgery. He expects to be out for about two weeks.
“Following the surgery and a period of home recovery, I may be able to work from home during the second week of the medical leave,” Bates indicated.
The Academic Planning Workshop on Feb. 15 will go on as planned with Larry James, associate executive vice president, filling in for Bates.
The Provost’s Dialogue on Feb. 20 has been canceled.
