PULLMAN—What can the Center for Human Rights do for me? That is a question often heard by the staff working in this Washington State University office.
To help raise awareness of the Center’s mission and goals, its staff will host an open house, Feb. 21, noon-4 p.m. The Center for Human Rights is located in WSU’s French Administration Building, Room 225.
The public is invited to meet the staff, tour the office and enjoy some refreshments. Yoshio Smith, assistant director for the Center for Human Rights, said it is an opportunity for people to get to know the staff and learn more about what CHR does–from faculty hiring to helping prevent sexual harassment.
“We really have a wide-spread impact on the university, yet, a lot of people don’t realize it,” Smith said. “We look forward to meeting people and learning how we can better serve them.”
