Vancouver – Erden Eruc, founder of Around-n-Over, a Seattle-based non profit organization will be presenting the “Six Summits Project” at Washington State University Vancouver, at 3 p.m. April 12 in the Administration Building Lecture Hall 110.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
Through the Six Summits Project, Eruc will be circumnavigating the globe, using only human powered vehicles. He will bicycle across all the continents except Antarctica, climb the tallest peak on each continent, then row across the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans.
This challenging effort started in February 2003. Thus far he has bicycled from Seattle to Mt. McKinley and back (climbing McKinley) and bicycled across the United States. In May, Eruc will bicycle from Seattle to San Francisco. In June, he will begin his estimated seven month row across the Pacific to Australia.
“Not everyone can get away on one of our Recreation Program sponsored adventure trips,” said Wayne Brown from the office of student involvement at WSU Vancouver. “Through Erden Eruc I’m hoping that we can bring adventure to students and inspire them in the pursuit of their goals.”
Using his adventures, Eruc inspires his audiences to set goals, demonstrate commitment and be a positive force in the world. Around-n-Over raises money for legacy projects in Nepal.
