Vancouver – Artwork made by preschool children in the Child Development Program at WSU Vancouver will be on display the university library from Dec. 7 to Feb. 15.
“The artwork created by the CDP children shows their curiosity and creativity,” said Erin Dengerink Madarang, director of campus galleries. “The children have used both traditional and non-traditional art media in unique ways, always exploring and experimenting as they go. There are a number of pieces created by individual children as well as collaborative pieces and two fabulous three dimensional castles that were made by the entire group of children.”
The Child Development program serves a diverse group of families. The CDP students are children of WSU Vancouver faculty, staff, students and other Clark County residents. The children represent a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. Their artwork reflects their individuality and personal interpretations of the world around them.
Entry to campus exhibits is free. WSU Vancouver Library is open Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 10 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Saturday – Sunday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
