PULLMAN – The Capital Steps will be making a stop at Beasley Coliseum at WSU on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
With the election a couple of months away this is guaranteed to be a night to remember. Known for their witty political satire, the Steps put the “mock” in democracy.
Tickets will be in the $20-$30 range.
The Capitol Steps is an American political satire group. It has been performing since 1981, and has released approximately thirty albums consisting primarily of song parodies.
The group marked its twenty-fifth anniversary during 2006. Originally consisting exclusively of Congressional staffers performing around Washington, D.C., the troupe has also performed on PBS, public radio and through concert tours around the United States.
They’ve been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS, and can be heard 4 times a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their Politics Takes a Holiday radio specials.
