Theater and Dance presents “Raised in Captivity”

PULLMAN- WSU’s Theatre and Dance department presents “Raised in Captivity”, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 29 – 31 and Feb. 5 – 7 in Daggy Hall’s Jones Theatre.
 
Written by Nicky Silver and directed by WSU instructor Ben Gonzales, “Raised in Captivity” is a dark comedy about the burdens carried by adults resulting from the experiences of their childhood days.
 
Estranged twins Sebastian (Jared Chastain), dealing with the loss of his partner to AIDS, and Bernadette (Christie Stordeur), pregnant and divorcing, reacquaint after their mother’s unexpected death. This life changing experience allows them to see themselves as they truly are and each struggles to break free from personal imprisonment. Their past must be addressed for them to live a happy life.
 
Ticket prices range as follows: adults, $12; seniors, $10; WSU students with current ID, $7; and children, $7. Admission is free for WSU graduate students and their partners.
