Taylor receives Special Services Award

Loverine Taylor, an associate professor of the School of Molecular Biosciences, was honored with a Special Services Award from the National Science Foundation. For the past two years, Taylor has served as a Program Director in the Molecular and Cellular Biosciences directorate at NSF and she was commended for her contributions “which provide exceptional value with broad application in impacting NSF’s mission and vision of supporting interdisciplinary research at the frontier.”

Taylor has recently returned to WSU and presented a well-received seminar to faculty on how to improve their chances of obtaining extramural grants for their research. Having seen how the other side of grant applications work, she hopes to help researchers here write better proposals that result in more funding.
