23 WSU College Bowl Teams Mix It Up Nov. 9, 10

PULLMAN, Wash. — College Bowl, a game that pits the knowledge of four-student teams against each other, will make its second appearance at Washington State University Nov. 9 and 10 in the Cascade Room of the Compton Union Building.

College Bowl has been described as like the game show Jeopardy — but with harder questions. Twenty-three teams are expected to compete — that’s more than four times the number of teams most other schools have, said Carolyn Ashby, WSU coordinator of student programs and director of the tournament.

“It’s a fast-paced exciting game,” Ashby said. “It’s very challenging.”

Preliminary rounds are 3-9 p.m. Friday. Double-elimination rounds will whittle the teams down Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The winner will travel to the regional meet Feb. 15 and 16 at Oregon State University.

For more information, contact Ashby at 509/335-6243.
