CEA Appoints Development Director

PULLMAN, Wash. — Devon Anderson, a native of the Inland Northwest with 20 years of fund-raising and public relations experience, has been appointed director of development and external relations for the College of Engineering and Architecture at Washington State University.

Anderson grew up in Lewiston, Idaho, and graduated from the University of Idaho in 1978.

Since 1992, she has been development director for the Prospect Sierra School, a K-8 independent school in El Cerrito, Calif. Anderson also has held several development positions for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Northern California and was employed in public relations by Sunset Magazine.

She said it is a privilege to have the opportunity to raise funds for the engineering and architecture college.

“I am truly looking forward to meeting the vast network of supporters who care deeply about the college and its mission. Clearly, donors value the caliber of instruction in the labs and classrooms, as well as the wide variety of important research being conducted at the college that benefits us all,” Anderson said.

“I’m thrilled to be moving home. My husband and I are delighted that our son will have grandparents, aunts and uncles, and lots of cousins in his life,” she added.

In addition to Anderson’s appointment, Dean Anjan Bose named Kathleen Warren associate director of development and external relations for the college. Warren will continue have primary advancement responsibilities for the school of electrical engineering and computer science.
