Inland Northwest Blood Drive Scheduled for Oct. 23-24

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Inland Northwest Blood Center is holding its semiannual Washington State University Blood Drive for students, faculty and staff today and Wednesday, Oct. 24.

The blood drive will be held in the Compton Union Building Ballroom from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. Those who would like to donate are encouraged to stop by when they have time. Blood donations will be used to help patients from more than 27 medical facilities throughout the Inland Northwest who suffer from cancer, severe burns, blood disorders, complicated surgeries and emergency needs, among others.

The blood center hopes to have at least 200 donors per day. It will award trophies to the fraternity, sorority and residence hall with the greatest percentage of participation. The blood drive is sponsored by the Rho Nu Nursing Club, Air Force ROTC, Rho Chi Pharmacy Club, Associated Students of WSU and Farmhouse fraternity.
