Fans, Commuters Asked to Pack Patience for Oct. 18 MSU Game

PULLMAN, Wash. — Traffic will be heavy and parking spaces limited on the Washington State University campus Thursday, Oct. 18, because of the thousands of fans expected to attend the football game against Montana State University.

While kickoff isn’t until 7 p.m., pregame activities at 3:30 p.m. are expected to draw many fans. In addition, some parking lots around campus will be closed all day to accommodate television crews, football support personnel and game vendors. Games are typically held on Saturdays.

WSU Parking and Transportation officials are urging students, faculty and staff to carpool or take Pullman Transit to campus Thursday. Staff and faculty could consider taking a half day of annual leave or working an earlier shift.

Fans arriving for the game can park in general parking on campus after 5 p.m. or use Pullman Transit, which will run extra routes until an hour after the game.

For more information, contact Chris Boyan, outreach coordinator for WSU’s Visitor Center, at 509/335-8633 or 509/335-PARK.
