PULLMAN, Wash. — The Pullman/Moscow Regional Airports is open for the first time since Tuesday’s tragedy, but passengers should expect heightened security measures and no parking at the terminal.
Passengers can drive to the airport terminal and staff will show them where to leave their vehicles. Then passengers can take a free shuttle to the terminal. The Federal Aviation Administration ordered airports earlier this week to keep vehicles out of a 300-foot perimeter of terminals.
Passengers also should arrive at the airport at least 1-2 hours before their flight to allow for more security measures, said Airport Manager Robb Parish.
The first airplane flew out at 6:30 a.m. Friday with a flight to Seattle with passengers from Pullman and Lewiston, Idaho. Tickets may be purchased for future flights at the airport, and those who have already purchased tickets are urged to call 1-800-547-9308 to confirm travel plans.
