Results of WSU Vancouver Self-Study Report to be Discussed Nov. 8

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Washington State University Vancouver will hold a Nov. 8 press conference to discuss the results of the university’s self-study and recommendations to the Higher Education Coordinating Board to add freshman- and sophomore-level classes at the campus beginning fall 2006.

The 10 a.m. conference will be in the Student Services Building, Room 236.

WSU Vancouver representatives will be in attendance, including Harold A. Dengerink, chancellor; Bruce Romanish, associate dean; Lynn Valenter, finance and operations director; and Stephen Horenstein, chair of the WSU Vancouver Advisory Council.

Self-study reports are due to HECB the week of Nov. 15. A public hearing featuring WSU President V. Lane Rawlins will be held on the Vancouver campus Nov. 16. Presentation to HECB and public comment will be Dec. 10 in Tacoma. The board will adopt final policy options Jan. 27, 2005, after which the self-study reports will be forwarded to the Legislature.
