Press Conference Planned to Announce Major NIH Contract

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University will hold a press conference at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 29) in Room 2018 of the Animal Disease Biotechnology Facility (ADBF) on the Pullman campus to announce major new funding from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the National Institutes of Health. The federal funds will support research related to food and water safety and biodefense. WSU President V. Lane Rawlins, College of Veterinary Medicine Dean Warwick Bayly and Frederic Morris, Gov. Gary Locke’s executive policy adviser for science and technology, and others are scheduled to attend. The ABDF is located south of the French Administration Building adjacent to Bustad Hall.
