Rock Band ‘The Used’ to Give WSU Performance Oct. 23

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Associated Students of Washington State University Student Entertainment Board will bring the Utah-based rock band The Used to the Pullman campus Saturday Oct. 23.

The concert is set to begin at 8:30 p.m. in the Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum. Tickets are $25 each for the general public and $15 for WSU students. They can be purchased at all TicketsWest outlets — including Beasley Coliseum, Cougar Depot, University of Idaho North Information Center and the Lewiston (Idaho) Albertson’s — by calling (800) 325-SEAT or online at www.beasley.wsu.edu.

The band’s tour “In Love and Death” includes openers Atreyu, The Bled and Head Automatica.

After successful stints on hit tours like Ozzfest, Vans Warped Tour and most recently with Linkin Park’s “Projekt Revolution,” The Used headlines an all-star lineup. Atreyu was recently named Rolling Stones magazine’s “Metal Band to Watch Out For,” and both The Bled and Head Automatica are favorites of college radio stations.

The Used, a four-man band based in Orem, Utah, thrives on friction. It can be heard on the band’s combustible self-titled debut and in the tension-filled follow-up “In Love and Death.”
