All-Campus Picnic Aug. 20 on Grimes Way Field

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s 20th annual All-Campus Picnic will be held 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at the Grimes Way Field, adjacent to Lighty Student Services Building. This is also the university’s third zero-waster picnic.

Student meals are free, compliments of WSU and Dining Services. The Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association-College Retirement Equities Fund will provide meals for WSU employees. Students and employees need only show a WSU identification card/Cougar Card. Meal tickets for others are $4 and will be sold at the event.

The menu features smoked turkey sandwiches, German sausage on a bun, “veggie” sandwiches, fruit salad, French pasta salad, pop or water, and snickerdoodle cookies.

Entertainment will be provided by Border 104.3 (KHTR-FM) and the band Dial 8.

New this year is a raffle open to university faculty and staff only with prizes provided by TIAA-CREF. Employees can enter for a chance to win a Sony CD/radio/cassette boom box and a Malibu Picnic Basket Backpack.
