Castleberry Joins Foundation as VP for Regional Development

SEATTLE, Wash. — Elizabeth A. Castleberry, deputy director of the Seattle Public Library Foundation, will become vice president, regional development at the WSU Foundation effective July 1.  She will be focused on the Puget Sound region and will be based at the WSU West offices in downtown Seattle.

At the Seattle Public Library Foundation, Castleberry has been a leader in the successful and soon-to-be completed $77.5 million campaign to construct a new central library in downtown Seattle.  Prior to joining the Seattle Public Library Foundation, she spent more than three years as major gifts officer and Founders Campaign manager at the Seattle Symphony.

“Beth Castleberry brings a great track record to the WSU Foundation’s Puget Sound operation,” said Rick Frisch, WSU Foundation president.  “Combined with her enthusiasm as a WSU alumna, her experience will help the WSU Foundation increase its activity and build on its outstanding volunteer base in Seattle.”

Castleberry earned her degree from WSU’s School of Hospitality Business Management in 1992.  She has more than ten years of experience in Seattle’s non-profit sector and in the hospitality industry.

The WSU Foundation celebrates is 25th anniversary in 2004.  Since its founding in 1979, it has raised more than $685 million in support of educational excellence at Washington State University.
