Boose Joins WSU Vancouver as Director of Human Resources

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Randy Boose has been named director of human resources at Washington State University Vancouver, effective Jan. 20.

As director of human resources, Boose will oversee employee benefits, compensation, faculty and administrative professional recruitment, training and development, employee relations and serve as the Equal Employment Opportunity representative.

“I have a passion for higher education,” said Boose, who looks forward to the challenges WSU Vancouver offers as a premier educational and research institution.

His previous employment includes 18 years at Portland (Ore.) Community College, first as personnel manager and later as manager of human resources, as well as two and a half years as director of human resources at Southwest Washington Hospitals. He also served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1973.

Boose is a graduate of Eastern Oregon State College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
