PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University Parking and Transportation Services opened its new facility today (Sept. 15) on the corner of Colorado and D Street, around the corner from the Bookie. The offices had previously been housed in the Public Safety Building.
“The new location gives us an opportunity to better serve our customers,” said John Shaheen, director of parking, transportation, and the Visitor Center.
The site should allow improved customer access. Short-term customer parking will be available in designated areas behind the building. Disability parking access will be from Thatuna Street.
The building also will house a WSU Police substation, which will be staffed at various hours and will allow WSU Police more flexibility in work locations on campus.
People may still acquire visitor and daily parking permits at the WSU Visitor Center located in downtown Pullman at the Cougar Depot. The Visitor Center also offers free campus and local maps, local information and restrooms. The Visitor Center recently opened the “Bookie at the Cougar Depot” which offers a variety of WSU merchandise for sale.
