PULLMAN, Wash. — A concert featuring Washington State University’s VoJazz and The WSU Big Band is set for 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, at the Kimbrough Concert Hall.

Conducted by WSU Instructor Gus Kambeitz, VoJazz returned from performing six concerts in the San Francisco area last month. VoJazz will premier new music by Heart, Clare Fischer, Charlie Parker and Miles Davis.

The WSU Big Band, conducted by Associate Professor Dave Jarvis, also will perform new works by composers Toshiko Akioshi and Bob Brookmeyer. The WSU Big Band placed second at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in February.
