MEDIA ADVISORY Microsoft Attorney Available on WSU Campus to Discuss an ‘Insider’s Perspective’

PULLMAN, Wash. — Microsoft Senior Attorney Steven A. Crown is available to meet individually with media representatives to discuss current legal developments at Microsoft. Arrangements for meeting on the Washington State University campus can be made through Prof. Ray August, Crown’s host, for times on either Thursday or Friday of this week.

Crown is available:
Thursday, March 26: 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Friday, March 27: 11:05 – 11:45 a.m. or 1-1:30 p.m. (Media may already be on campus for availability from 11:30-noon with John Slaughter, guest speaker at the WSU Faculty Honors Convocation later this afternoon)

Crown is an in-house legal counsel for Microsoft where he manages a team of lawyers and paralegals responsible for providing legal advice and support to two groups within Microsoft. The “Platform Strategy and Partners Group” and the “Windows Client Operating System Development Team.”

He is presenting the first “Business and the Law Lecture” Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. in Smith Center for Undergraduate Education, Room 203 on the WSU campus. His speech is entitled “Microsoft and the Law: An Insider’s Perspective.”
